Tyrone Buchanan

Tyrone Buchanan – Senior Pro
Tyrone is a USPTR certified professional tennis instructor. He has worked and been associated with the Penn Tennis Center for over 28 years. Tyrone began working with the Penn Tennis Center when he was a student at Penn, and has stayed connected to the community throughout his career. He previously worked in college administration, and is passionate about teaching. Tyrone's passion is the game of tennis, and he hopes that everyone who learns to play can develop and share his passion for the game.

Doug Lewis - Senior Pro
Doug is a certified USPTA Elite professional and former USPTA Middle States Professional of the Year. He has coached and prepared several junior players for college tennis, including two USTA Junior National Champions and a former Harvard player that was named the Ivy League Player of the Year. Doug received his degree in Professional Tennis Management from Ferris State University. While there, he received All Conference honors and was the GLIAC Champion in singles and doubles. During the summer months, Doug is the Director of Tennis at the Quoque Field Club in the Hamptons. Doug's motto is "Swing Freely and Have Fun!"

Ginger played collegiate tennis for Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter Minnesota. She received 3- time All- American honors and majored in Psychology with a minor in Coaching. While attending college she coached at her high school and provided tennis lessons at Swanson Tennis Center. After graduating college she worked at Junior Tennis Championship Center in College Park, MD through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. After her year of service she was hired on full time as a Staff Professional mainly working with the community outreach program to provide education and tennis instruction to schools/ community centers in Washington, DC and Maryland.  

Aaron Wicker

Aaron Wicker - Senior Pro
Aaron is a former collegiate tennis player. He played Division I tennis for the University of Richmond where he competed in singles and doubles. He served as Captain during his senior year. Prior to college, Aaron was a highly ranked junior who competed at top national tournaments, including Kalamazoo, the Easter Bowl, and the National Clay Court Championships. Aaron has experience coaching players of all ages and levels. He enjoys working with both juniors and adults alike.

Doug Hochmuth

Douglas specializes in biomechanics analysis, technical breakdowns, service improvements, and teaching winning percentage tennis.Doug played collegiate tennis at Willamette University before returning home to the Bay Area to lead programming at both the University of California Berkeley and the City of Oakland. Having worked in the tennis industry for over 15 years, Doug is excited to meet and service the community of Philadelphia.

Marvin Jolliffe

Marvin Jolliffe- Senior Pro
Marvin is a certified USPTA and USPTR professional, who also holds a USPTR certification in Junior Development. He was born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and was a top 25 player on the South African National Junior Circuit. He moved to the U.S. to attend Erskine College in South Carolina on a full tennis scholarship. While at Erskine, he competed in the #1 singles and doubles positions, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing. Over the past 20 years, Marvin has led junior and adult clinics at many different tennis clubs including Charleston, South Carolina and the Hamptons, New York. Most recently, Marvin was a tennis and pickleball teaching professional at Merion Cricket Club.

Paul is a PTR professional with experience as a junior tennis director, head professional, and teaching pro for all levels and ages. Paul has co-coached Radnor’s junior team tennis national champions for the 14 and under division and works closely with player development in all ages and levels. His strengths are adaptability and making tennis a delightful experience for his pupils.

Tony is a USPTR certified professional tennis instructor. He received his USTA training in high performance tennis, sports science, and sports psychology and has been a pro for over 20 years. Tony has coached multiple Junior Tennis Team Champions. He is the former director of The After School Tennis Program that is sponsored by The Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education Center.

Chris is a former top-sectionally-ranked Middle States player coming out of the Philadelphia District. He received a scholarship to Rider University where he played Division I 1st Singles and 1st Doubles and served as team captain. He previously taught at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Chris shares his passion, knowledge, and love of the game with adults and kids of all ages and levels from beginners to high-performance players. His coaching covers all aspects of the game including doubles and singles strategies, footwork, technique, and point patterns.

With 6 years of coaching expertise and a background in Division 1 college tennis, I bring a unique blend of technical knowledge, strategic acumen, and a deep understanding of the sport.

My coaching journey began during my collegiate career, where I played Division 1 tennis for four years at North Carolina A&T State University and graduated with a B.S in Computer Science. This experience not only honed my skills as a player but also instilled in me a strong work ethic, discipline, and a commitment to excellence. Following my graduation, I transitioned seamlessly into coaching, driven by my desire to share my love for tennis and help others develop their abilities.

Crystal has been playing tennis competitively since she was 12 years old, traveling around the country competing competitively in USTA Junior tournaments. She attended Swarthmore College where she was a team captain her senior year and was chosen to compete in the NCAA Individual National Doubles Tournament in 2022. She has experience coaching students of all ages/skill levels and enjoys seeing the consistent improvement from her students
